An Audiophile Grade, Ultra Powerful, Ulta Affordable Amp
It has come to pass, that some high end audio brands think their products sound so wonderful, they can charge more than a car. One example, Verity Audio, stereo amp, 60 wpc sells for $58,000! Of course there are plenty of high end audio amps, with high power that cost less than cars.
How about the Parasound Model 2250 v.2? Rated power 275 watts per channel. Price $1395.
     How does it sound?
     Well... it is THX Certified.
It uses MOSFET predrivers and MOSFET driver transistors. MOSFET stands for Metal Oxide
Semiconductor Field Effect Transistor. It is a special type of transistor that combines the smooth warm sound of tubes with the benefits of regular transistors.
It has a high current toroidal power transformer. This type of transformer gives off less stray magnetic noise and produces more consistant power reserve.
The 2250 has a front panel Speaker A or B switch and connections for two pair of speakers. It has rear left and right gain controls. It has triggers for auto power on and off. There's a DC servo and other protection circuitry.
     Other audio specifications

are outstanding. For example Signal to noise ratio is rated 114 db. Frequency response goes out to 50kHz. The 2250 comes with a 2 year parts and labor warranty.
