In February 1973, I opened a little store by Tulane University, selling products I loved. Key to our success was explaining technical jargon in easy to understand plain English. Key... also was finding many employees over the years, with that same passion for music, and listening to music on equipment with the highest sound quality. The same applied to video, as we sold high fidelity video products, the Sony Trinitron television from day one. And we sold big screen television front projectors for the movie like experience in the home. We combined great video with great stereo long before "home theater" existed. We stood behind our recommendations with a double warranty and always answering questions. But, times change, products change, businesses change. After 38 years, Alterman Audio has closed its store doors. Please check back on this site, as historic ads and videos will be posted.
